With over a million song plays, 600 thousand views on MySpace and constant traffic on her stereo Fame webpage, fans are gearing up for the release of Nenna Yvonne’s Debut EP titled “Model Citizen”. Within the first week of the release of her single, “Paranoia”, listeners have already voted Nenna Yvonne as their top choice over NEYO and several other radio veterans.
At times compared to Lada Gaga, Whitney Houston and Britney Spears, the 21 year old Nigerian native has since made her voice known through thought provoking lyrics and distinct power packing vocals. Having modeled for Akademik, Coogi, Rocawear and an array of fashion designers, it’s no wonder she has entities such as Coca-Cola interested in a possible nationwide campaign.

Most of her life Wunmi’s had to get her things and leave. After her parents divorced, she came to Nigeria, on what was supposed to be a visit. She was only four. “I came here thinking I was on holiday, and it wasn’t a holiday, it was ten years, that’s a long holiday innit?”
She lived for a few years with her grandmother in Lagos. Then she moved to Ibadan to live with her father’s sister, before returning to Lagos ( Living first in Ikoyi, then Surulere).
