Just came across this video, it’s been out for awhile now though. Is it crazy or what? That’s how they get you now… a hot (naked) lady dancing to a hot beat…

Although this collaboration is from late 2009, these Ghanaian & Nigerian Brits deserve a shout-out for this club anthem. This is a hot track! 3 million plus hits on youtube! Nuff said!

Introducing Inna Modja, an up-and-coming artist and former model from Mali. She sings in English and released her first album “Everyday is a New World” this past February.

Her latest single is “Life” a cover of Barbados-British singer Des’ree’s 1998 hit. It is a refreshing update and definitely worth the listen.

Other notable tracks include: Mister H and Let’s Go to Bamako.

Long time coming rapper, William Orioha a.k.a 2Shotz is ready to release his fifth album in his decade-old catalogue of music history. The Hip Hop head famed for his deft delivery of pidgin rap will be making a slight detour on this new project scheduled for an August release.

Titled I AM William, the 13-track album is a collection of songs that cut across Rap, Pop, DanceHall and R & B genres of music. On the album, 2Shotz not only shows convincingly that he can hold his own in good English rap but he also goes as far as singing on a track titled ‘Craze for you’.

Speaking on the motive for his new works, the rapper says, “this album is to show that William is greater than 2Shotz. 2Shotz is only one part of my creativity and I AM William”

I AM William is a music biography head started last year with the release of a single, Oyoyo, which features singer YQ. At present two more tracks are in circulation: fast paced Na U sabi, which is tipped to become a club favourite soon and the title track, I AM William.

The feel good title track is catching on real fast already following an internet release last week. It has easy-to-recall chorus lines such as ‘I am the definition of longevity. After I’m gone these streets would remember me, remember he who for so long killing it. I am, I am William’.

With an assembly of industry certified production talents like M.I, Terry G, Cobhams, Dr Frabz, eLDee, Jesse Jagz, Kash 11 and up comers Jay smith and Icon, on the album, one can only imagine the quality of the masterpiece.

Other tracks on the album include Make some noise, featuring M.I, Dutty Whine ft Shank, Weda u like am, Are you not entertained, Champion, Tonite, Money for pocket and ‘Which kain nonsense’, where he bares his mind on on goings in the Nigerian music industry.

Activities lined up to unveil this masterpiece include album listening and release parties in Lagos, Warri and Abuja through the month of August. The video for I AM William shot by DJ Tee will premiere at the first listening party in Lagos. The album will be released by Ummunamu Records.

International soul singer Asa made a surprise appearance at the Ultima studio venue of this year’s edition of The Project Fame season 3..

Accompanied by her manager Janet Nwose, Asa spent the whole day in the Academy, as Ultima Stiudio CEO Femi Ayeni and Academy Principal Joke Silva showed her round, and introduced the contestants to her.

The visit kicked off her mentorship session with the Season 3 contestants_ and the contestants were happy to listen to her, and also perform her songs. She is also expected to sit as a visiting judge on the show today.

It was a moment of joy for the 18 contestants who were excitement to have in their midst the celebrity musician.

Asa

It more exciting because, Asa has performed at numerous shows and concerts abroad as well as headlining major tours and music festivals. Trust Asa, she shared her experience as an upcoming talent; and told the bewildered contestants the remarkable story of her rise to international fame.

And as a tribute to the singer who has proudly flown the Nigerian flag, the contestants will be performing her songs this Saturday at this week’s performance show. The contestants will also perform select numbers from Tracy Chapman.

Asa will also be on hand to judge the contestants when performing. Obviously the highlight of the evening will be when the singer mounts the stage to perform some of her hit songs.
