Adetokunbo Moradeyo a.k.a Hari Best, the handsome dude who stormed the industry with his No More Yahoozee song had more than what he bargained for recently in the hands of some prostitutes who claimed to be undergraduates of OSU.

As the story goes, Hari was said to have visited a friend who resides in Magodo Estate only for him to meet three girls who came to also see his friend. They exchanged numbers and pronto conversation ensured between them.PROSTITUTE

Few hours after their conversation, this friend left to attend to a meeting in Maryland and said he would be back soon to continue with their fun. As soon as the friend left, these prostitutes in disguised were said to have locked the door and undressed Hari Best forcefully.

Though, Hari was said to have escaped by divine intervention, no one, however can state the real side of the story because Hari, we learnt, left the venue without his shoes or under wears on. What a world!

Imagine a Rita, Ramsey, Omowunmi and the likes climbing trees and ropes in search of an object. Or imagine them going into the river swimming and battling to save their lives? This is the ultimate reality show people have been waiting for.

According to an impeccable source, the celebrities, who must have been unveiled as at the time of reading this report, will be at La Campagne Tropicana in Lekki searching for a lost treasure like the ordinary folks in the regular Guilder Ultimate Search.
However, one thing will set the reality show apart from the regular one. The celebrities would all take a sign-on-fee to participate and each will get eviction fee based on when evicted.

Activities in the house would also include the regular physical work and a bit of intellectual exercise would also be introduced to make it more exciting. Shooting commenced last Friday and the programme would go on air any moment from now.

Na double wahala for deady bodi and the owner of deady bodi…. The song sure rings a bell in your eardrum; it’s one of the songs being sung by the late Afro Beat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti whose son, Femi has taking after. Femi is rumoured to have impregnated two other women while another woman is already carrying his four months old baby.

According to the information, Rebecca is one of the ladies who is fascinated with the activities going on in the New Africa Shrine tucked somewhere around Agidingbi area of Lagos. The two loverbirds were said to have met through a family friend and before one say Pronto, the Abami Eda’s protégé, Femi has started applying the rhythm of one of his songs, Bang Bang Banga I just dey go o… in the life of the Sofunde Street, Agege based beautiful lady, Rebecca and the result of their ‘clicking’ is a protruded belly which is said to have clocked five months now.

Meanwhile, the impregnated lady whose parents are said to be strong members of Deeper Life Bible Church is already having turbulent times with her parents due to their religious belief. Though, Femi, according to information, accepted the paternity of the baby and said he would take full responsibility but for the woman to bear or tag Anikulapo to her name it’s a dream that may never come to pass.

In a swift dimension, another woman named Seyi, a graduate of one of the citadels in Ibadan put to bed about five months ago to a bouncing beautiful baby. The lady, who presently resides in Abuja where she runs a café to put body and soul together, is said to have been going through critical situation as a single mother.

The Grammy Awards nominee, Femi Anikulapo Kuti, we scooped, is not happy at the moment with Seyi due to the fact that, he (Femi) has informed her of relocating to Lagos where proper care would be given to the baby but her stubbornness was said to have caused her total neglect by the Kutis. All effort to reach Femi to comment on this issue proved abortive as his number was not available.

Borne out of the desire to actualise her childhood dream of achieving fame in life , Geraldine started her modelling career while still an undergraduate. Presently the reigning Miss Abia, she has featured in a couple of movies to her credit. Our reporter ran into her while on location in Asaba, Delta State capital, where she speaks on her modelling and acting career, life prospects and other issues.

Excerpts;
How is the acting and modeling profession?

It’s fantastic, I’m coping well.

How long have you been acting ?

I started acting since 2007.

And modeling?

I’m a model, dancer, singer and an actress.

Which one of them comes first?

I started with modeling before I veered into acting. I have been into modeling as far back as when I was a student in Enugu state. I was combining my education with my modeling career at the same time. But I went into acting after graduating from school. In 2006, I won Miss Nollywood in Enugu chapter. Winning the crown marked the beginning of my journey into Nollywood. And today, I’m still here.

How many pageants have you done so far?

I have been into pageantry for a while now. My emerging Miss Abia is actually the sixth modeling job I have done.

But this particular pageant that saw me emerging Miss Abia in 2009 was organised by NTA in conjunction with Silverstone communications. They crowned all the queens in each state, and we hope to meet at the Queen Nigeria pageant where each of the queens from the various states came together to select the over all Queen in Nigeria. That memorable event came up last December.

What does it mean to be Miss Abia?

It gives me an edge over my contemporaries. Her excellency , the wife of the State Governor crowned me as Miss Abia. Though, the competition has no monetary reward, she willingly gave me the money to start off a project.

So, have you actually started any project now?

I’m trying to see how I can help in the area of creating awareness concerning the deadly disease called malaria. I discovered that malaria is one of the killer diseases in Nigeria.

I have a relation who suffered from malaria parasite, and later gave up the ghost.
While I last on the throne, I want to leave a legacy. That’s why I chose malaria eradication project as my charity project.

How do you fund the projects?

I pay courtesy visits to corporate organizations, government parastatals and all that to raise fund for my projects and also create awareness from the public about malaria eradication.

And what has been their responses?

Thank God, some people are responding very well, while few others are still making promises and pledges.

How do you combine acting with your modeling career?

It’s not really an easy task but I’m coping. I have been combining my new status as Miss Abia with my acting career, in addition to involving myself in other things that has to do with modeling. I have to relocate to Asaba because of my passion for acting.

I run in between going for my courtesy visits in Abia state and my acting jobs. I thank God for everything because the joy of the Lord is my strength.

Have you endorsed any product or brand yet?

A months after I won Miss Abia pageant I also won Miss Rock and Roll Globacom in Osun state. So they signed me on a contract to use my pictures for adverts on GLO recharge.

So how many movies have you featured in so far?

I really cannot recall now but I have done quite a couple of movies like Hidden treasure, Fire King and my first movie was titled, “Laptop”.

What is your perception of the modeling industry in Nigeria?

The modeling industry here is thriving, but we still have a lot of work to do in this area to make the industry meet international standards.

What challenges have you faced in the modeling industry?

One of the challenges in modeling in Nigeria is the issue of money. Nigerian models are not paid well especially those that have not hit the international scene.

Can you say that what you are doing now is a dream come through?

Yes, I have always dreamt to be a famous person. Despite the fact that I read Chemical Engineering, my dream has always been to be a famous person who will be in the public eyes.

And you do not think you will some day return to practising what you studied in school?

For now, I am enjoying what I am doing because it is something I have passion for . It is only God that knows what tomorrow holds for me and so, I leave all in his hands.

Being a ravishing beauty, how do you handle men?

Even when I was in school, most of my friends were male students and so, I have learnt how best to deal with the male fans. Handling my male fans is no problems at all. I know how to turn them down politely. I do not believe in being rude to people to make my point.

So who is that special man in your life?

No, I do not have one for now

You mean beauty queens and models don’t have boyfriends?

(laughs) not really…

What’s your kind of man?

I love a good-looking man, wether they are short or tall don’t count. I love men respect women and are God fearing.

What do you do to keep fit?

I eat the right thing at the right time and I watch the way I eat because I don’t want to blow up because it will affect my career.

THE duo of Abdulmalik Usman and Daniel Nwankuwo aka Blacktribe have come out to deny the rumours making the rounds about their purported feud with Faze.

The track rumoured to be the cause of the controversy is entitled Wondale and it features 2face. The song has started causing serious troubles between the fans of Faze and Blacktribe in Festac Town, Lagos and it has resulted in pockets of fisticuffs on a few occasions.

And to finally bring the unnecessary bickering to an end, Daniel Nwankuwo, one of the duo, has come out to address the issue before it gets out of hand.

“We don’t have any problem with Faze. The concept of the song is for everybody to dance and be happy. The verse that is currently causing this controversy is where I rhymed; “why you dey stand alone, abi your name na Faze? We don’t want any maga whey go dull the place.”

On why he described Faze in such context, he says Faze is reputed for doing his things alone. Moreover, his first solo album was titled Faze Alone and the second one was entitled Independent. “Faze is known as a very independent person. He does his things alone. Since the babe too has decided to stand out amidst the crowd, I later described her as Faze. With all due respect to Faze,” he added.

Adora Oleh is young and pretty. The oldest of three children, she found her love for performing and presenting while studying at a private convent school for girls in London. And for six years now, she has been a television presenter both in the UK and Nigeria. At home, she became popular as the co-presenter of the MTN Project Fame West Africa. But in spite of her achievements, Adora yearned for a platform where she could do things her own creative way.

The delectable presenter wanted something that can really add value to what we have as Nigerians. And having discovered that she has so much to give, Adora then came up with her own programme tagged, The Adora Oleh Show, which features interviews with celebrities, entrepreneurs and society big wigs.

Though a lawyer, Adora’s training and experience, backed up with the direct exposure to international music and movie stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, 50 Cent, Kanye West, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith, Tom Cruse, Cameron Diaz, Terrence Howard and Sarah Jessica Parker – all of whom she has had cause to interview on many occasions – has provided her with the sound preparation for what she is doing right now.

The Adora Oleh Show, which is produced by ChiAd TV Productions, an independent television and events production company formed in the UK by Adora and her sister, Chika, is exciting and entertaining. Here, Adora opens up to Blockbuster on her lifestyle, challenges, life with Hollywood stars and why her show is a must watch for Nigerians. Enjoy:

Background
I was born and raised in Surrey, England. My parents are Nigerians. My father was a Civil Engineer and my mother is a lawyer and policy analyst. I’m the oldest of three children and studied at a private convent school for girls in London. It was there, on the school stage that I found my love for performing and presenting. I studied Law at University and hold a post graduate diploma in Media Law and Journalism and a diploma in PR/Marketing. I’ve worked as a broadcast journalist and TV presenter for six years.

Between work and school
Before ChiAd TV Productions, I was studying, but I always knew that working within the media industry was something I wanted to pursue. I also knew that my education was equally important and non-negotiable, so I had to juggle between my education and my work. Whilst at the University, I was also a resident fashion model on the Big Breakfast show, Channel 4 TV in the UK for over two years. While at Channel 4, I also worked with MTV UK. As I moved on, I worked as a fashion correspondent, and an entertainment marketing consultant, I worked with different international film and entertainment companies in the UK including UIP, Paramount, Universal Studios and DreamWorks.

My training and media industry experience, backed up with the direct exposure on various movies such as The Dream Girls, Sex and The City, Get Rich or Die Trying, The Movie, Madagascar, The Bourne Ultimatum, Miami Vice, Collateral, The Holiday and Hustle and Flow, to name a few, has provided me with the sound preparation for what I am doing now.

My sister and I
Over the past five years, my sister and I, under Chiad management, have worked on a number of shows including The Magazine Show and Top Ten Music Show aired on Europe’s No.1 Black station BEN TV. Also, we have hosted a number of prestigious events like The Prince of Wales Youth Charity, Thisday Arise Music and Fashion Festival in the UK, Nigerian Music Awards in London, MOBO Awards in London; Miss Nigeria UK in London, Project Fame West Africa; Ovation Red Carol, ION Film Festival in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and most recently, the M-Net Face of Africa finale in Lagos.

Me and Hollywood stars
I have had the opportunity to interview international celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, 50 Cent, Kanye West, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith, Tom Cruse, Cameron Diaz, Terrence Howard and Sarah Jessica Parker. I have also talked to top personalities like Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, D’banj, 2face Idibia, Olu Maintain, P-Square and many others. Of all the celebrities I have had the privilege of interviewing, I found Tarantino very refreshing. He is very funny and easy to be with. Also, 50 Cent is funny. He made me feel at ease. The musician, Ameire is just a darling and, of course, the talented John Legend and Neyo are interviewer’s delights.

Challenges
I always knew that I wanted to work for myself and produce my own TV show under my own production company so, I mentally prepared myself. I knew, even before starting that it was not going to be easy. There were definite challenges along the way at every stage, but I think they are necessary to keep you humble so you can value the goods times and keep you appreciating what you’ve got.

The Adora Oleh Show
The Adora Oleh Show is a fresh, one hour entertainment TV programme created to focus on positive role models and inspirational young entrepreneurs moving forward in the entertainment and business arena. Our aim is to tell the story behind the success of every successful black man in the world, their struggles, trials, travails, and all that, bearing in mind that the road to success and fame is not an easy one, most times, very rough. Each episode contains celebrity interviews, music reviews, fashion, business creativity and exciting competitions where viewers have the chance to win N100, 000 every week.

In addition, the show will cover special events such as fashion shows, concerts and award ceremonies all geared towards promoting the Nigerian and African image across the globe. The Adora Oleh Show airs every Sunday on Soundcity TV at 3pm and repeated on Tuesdays at 7pm. Other stations where you can watch the show include RSTV on Sundays at 12.30pm, AKBC on Sundays at 2pm, ESBS on Saturdays at 8.30pm, ITV Benin on Thursdays at 8.15pm, DBN and STV. I honestly believe that the show has a real chance of success and growth to raise the bar even higher and exceed all expectations. So far, it is attracting reasonable attention all round and for the next five years I’m keeping a positive focused mind, believing that the show will attract more major sponsors.

Why I’m unique
The uniqueness of the Adora Oleh Show is more in its objectives and nature; because, the show is primarily a platform for showcasing positive things about Nigerians and all Africans. It is motivational, inspiring, and encouraging and because of the four different segments, it has something for everyone.

On Nigerian TV industry
The Nigerian TV Industry is one of the world’s fastest growing with so many opportunities; judging by the emergence of independent TV stations and pay-to-view satellite outfits. It’s a great opportunity for production companies and content providers. I’m really so happy to see such rapid growth within this area, which is wonderful and proves that the Nigerian TV industry can only get stronger.

On Nollywood
I’m very impressed with Nollywood; I think it is important to remember that Nollywood is the second largest film industry in the world. So, we must be doing something right! The popularity of Nollywood I feel stems from the fact that the films are different from films coming from Hollywood and other conventional film industries around the world, and they concentrate on different themes. But any film maker, whether they are coming out from Nollywood or Hollywood will always need to inject new and fresh ideas in order for that film to be successful and keep the audience wanting more.

Singing and acting
I like to think of myself as a professional TV presenter as opposed to professional actress or singer. But who knows, I may decide to sing or act in future.

My style
For my own personal style statement I think authenticity is very important. I also think that it is important that a woman’s outfit reflects the different sides of her personality. I guess where her essence meets her expression. Style to me is also really all about confidence in your individuality.

How I relax
I like to go to the cinema, catch up with friends over dinner and listen to music.
