Blacktribe refutes rumours of feud with Faze
THE duo of Abdulmalik Usman and Daniel Nwankuwo aka Blacktribe have come out to deny the rumours making the rounds about their purported feud with Faze.
The track rumoured to be the cause of the controversy is entitled Wondale and it features 2face. The song has started causing serious troubles between the fans of Faze and Blacktribe in Festac Town, Lagos and it has resulted in pockets of fisticuffs on a few occasions.
And to finally bring the unnecessary bickering to an end, Daniel Nwankuwo, one of the duo, has come out to address the issue before it gets out of hand.
“We don’t have any problem with Faze. The concept of the song is for everybody to dance and be happy. The verse that is currently causing this controversy is where I rhymed; “why you dey stand alone, abi your name na Faze? We don’t want any maga whey go dull the place.”
On why he described Faze in such context, he says Faze is reputed for doing his things alone. Moreover, his first solo album was titled Faze Alone and the second one was entitled Independent. “Faze is known as a very independent person. He does his things alone. Since the babe too has decided to stand out amidst the crowd, I later described her as Faze. With all due respect to Faze,” he added.
