PMAN moves to set up Music Hall of Fame

THE Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria has moved beyond the crises that rocked the body in the past and the Dele Abiodun led administration has kick-started activities targeted at actualizing the Nigeria Music Hall of Fame (PMAN – NMHF). The move is in a bid to live up to the promise of the current executive of the body to live up to its promise to reposition the music industry and also to honour those that have contributed to the development of the music industry in Nigeria.

As part of activities geared towards the full commencement of the NMHF, the PMAN and the Classic Events, a project management company, with a healthy track record recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to lay structures that would drive the process.

While addressing the journalists at the signing of the MoU, PMAN President, Admiral Dele Abiodun said his administration is embarking on the Hall of Fame Project as a way of contributing to moving the PMAN into lofty position that will allow effective functionality, which will in turn actualize the dreams and aspirations of the founding heroes, and also bring to glory, the labours and sweats of past leaders and members of PMAN.

According to him, “Our mission is to establish, in our lifetime, a sought-after and high integrity-platform, primarily configured to recognize, honour and celebrate Nigerian musicians and other stakeholders (dead or alive), whose achievements through time and space have brought pride and glory to our fatherland”.

The proposed Hall of Fame is designed to carry with it various activities and economic modules such as the Hall of Fame Museum, PMAN Headquarter, Music Academy, World Class Multi-purpose Event Centre, Digital and Analogue Audio/Video Studios, Sound-proof Multi-user Rehearsal Halls, It  equipped Press Centre, Publications and Publications Production Facilities, Musical Talent-Hunt and other Reality Show Centre, Equipment Rental, Hotel, Shopping Mall, Business Bureau, Entertainment Consultancy services, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool and other Recreational Facilities.
