Stella Monye’s car burnt by unknown persons
Samba queen, Stella Monye, recently lost her Suzuki Swift saloon car to a mysterious fire outbreak in Lagos. The incident occurred a few nights ago at N0. 21 A, Badagry Road, Off Marine Road, Apapa.
212 EKY, was parked outside the premises of Guranga Foundation, her former work place, alongside another car that belonged to a stranger who was visiting the neighbourhood at the time of the incident. Both vehicles were completely burnt down in an incident, which Ms Monye believes must have been intended to serve as a warning to either herself or the owner of the second car.
”It is possible that one of us was the target of the vandals. But we do not know who it might be. All the same, I suspect they meant to leave a message; a threat or a warning, perhaps, of something worse to come”, she told Saturday Life & Beat on Wednesday.
The owner of the second car was said to have lost his international passport and some other valuable items to the fire. Stella was scared that she might have been the real target of the vandals. But when asked if she had quarrelled with someone else before the incident, she said there was no such thing.
The matter has since been reported to the police.
Meanwhile, Stella disclosed that, contrary to reports in the media, she was yet to walk down the aisle. ”But I plan to do that very soon” she added,.admitting that she had found her Mr. Right at last.
