Nollywood star-actress, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde and her airline Captain hubby, Matthew Ekeinde are rarely spotted walking hand-in-hand at social functions.
But last Sunday proved to be different. On that fateful day, Valentine’s Day, the couple were not only spotted walking hand-in-hand at a celebrity function, they embarked on a public proclamation of their undying love to each other.

The movie, shot in America and Nigeria, follows the lives of two Nigerian sisters, Chioma and Anya. The latter relocates to the United States in search of the American dream, but ends up in jail on charges of murder. This compels Chioma to travel to the US to help secure her sister’s freedom, with the help of a young, raw attorney.
Equity Concept Cooperate Entertainment in collaboration with Tribe Media Company has concluded plans to hold Nollywood Blings-on Night in the month of March 2010 as it receives the support of top Nollywood actors like Monalisa Chinda, Omotola Jalade, Chioma Chukwuka, Emeka Ike to mention a few.
The event is an annual entertainment show that brings together top Nollywood actors, actresses, music stars, blings icons, fashion giants, CEO’s and key government officials for the annual celebration of the Nollywood industry. Activities at this year’s event will include the UNVEILING OF NOLLYTEC INITIATIVE, an annual ICT based event platform designed to drive the growth of digital media and entertainment in Nigeria and Africa; through conferences, exhibitions, talk shows, interactive sessions and presentations. This initiative is being organized by Mr. Bayero Agabi on the platform of African Independent Television.
Its is being rumoured tha actress Omotola Jalade is heading for the United States again but this time around for a not so obvious reason, “Breast Implant”.
according to the source, she will be heading to the state of New Jersey where world class facelift and implants surgeons are headquartered. The whole thing started after an alleged love affair with Desmont Elliot, another top Nigerian actor, turned sour.

Nollywood top actress Omotola Jalade Ekehinde has released a new music video for Amnesty international on maternal mortality.
A statement by Amnesty international signed by Africa press officer Eliane Drakopoulos reads;”we have just released a music video ‘Bell’ Woman, dae suffer” (Pregnant women are suffering), which is a song on maternal mortality in Sierra Leone ”
“It is a lovely and very catchy tune! Written and performed by the Nigerian actress Omotola Ekeinde and four Sierra Leonean musicians, the song highlights some of the issues surrounding high maternal mortality in Sierra Leone”

While some people are happy that these actresses are gaining international fame, others feel that Nollywood movies are still sub-standard and therefore will be an embarrassment to foreigners who might be influenced to watch the movies because of the good credits given in the novel.
